The Janesville Public Library is growing and needs your help

Progress as of 8/16/22: $307,834.00 raised towards the $532,000.00 goal!!

The Janesville Public Library has outgrown its residence on 227 Main Street, where it has been a community home for education and entertainment since 1974. Using the lifetime savings of our library reserves, we have purchased the building at 319 Main Street

This location will triple our square footage which will expand our collection capacity, provide an accessible meeting room, and allow us to host more events which will benefit everyone in our community. Additionally, because we participate in Iowa’s Open Access Program, you do not have to be a Janesville resident to use our materials or participate in programs. 

Your help is essential for the completion of our project. We are looking for those who are willing to donate time, energy, and resources to make this space into a community showcase. Based on our library needs, our financial fundraising goal is to raise $532,000. We will meet this goal with the aid of grants, sponsorships, financial donations and in-kind donations from community members like you, with opportunities for room sponsorships, memorial recognition, and display naming.
